Biography

Hayley is an international expert in animal welfare emergency management and appointed as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Animal Emergency Management at Massey University. She is a National Animal Welfare Emergency Management Coordinator for the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) in New Zealand who has responded to over 20 adverse events in New Zealand in the past 18 months which includes earthquakes, bushfires and large flooding events. She is the founder of the veterinary emergency response team at Massey University which has had several national and international deployments.  Hayley is a veterinary technologist, emergency management practitioner, researcher, advisor and educator.
