Our goals

What will you learn from this course?

The dental guidelines were created to set the international standard in veterinary dentistry. They include not only the gold standard, but also minimal level of care and equipment in the various socioeconomic areas of the world. The information in the dental guidelines provides a basis to improve dental and oral health for our animal patients. The students will gain insight into many facets of veterinary dentistry, including: oral anatomy and physiology, common oral pathologies, oral exam and charting, dental radiology and extractions. There are also sections on anestehsia and analgesia for the dental patient, the welfare aspects of dental disease, anesthesia free dentistry, and the universities role in this condition.
