Infectious Disease Course
LATAM focused
This 3-module course was developed focusing on the most common infectious diseases affecting dogs and cats in Latin America. You will learn the basis for diagnosis, the approach to preventive measures, and the key aspects of those diseases.
Module 1
The first module introduces the prevalence and scenario of infectious diseases in dogs and cats in Latin America, the importance of a One Health approach as a small animal practitioner, how to vaccinate dogs and cats according to the WSAVA Vaccination Guidelines and the basis to interpret diagnostic tests for infectious diseases.
Module 2
The second module focuses on infectious diseases caused by viruses and bacteria.
Module 3
The third module focuses on vector-borne diseases.
